Gingered Cranberry Sauce
Forgo the fuss this Thanksgiving with this super simple four ingredient cranberry sauce with a kick. Adding a touch of freshly ground ginger spices up this sauce and makes for a delicious adaptation of a Thanksgiving classic.
Why we like it:
Ready in under half an hour this recipe leaves you extra time for the more important things this Thanksgiving - what’s not to love!
You will need:
2 cups cranberries
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
2 tablespoons ginger (grated)
We find the easiest way to peel fresh ginger is by using the edge of a spoon to scrape away the skin until you see the pale yellow flesh below.
Once peeled, grate the fresh ginger - you will need 2 tablespoons worth.
Add everything into the saucepan together.
Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer until the cranberries burst and the sauce starts to thicken, about 15-20 minutes. Give the sauce a stir every now and again to make sure it doesn’t stick to the pot.
Serve and Enjoy!
